"ALLY PALLY"...

  World © All rights reserved

"ally pally", thats Alexandra Palace to give it its correct name. Originally opened in 1873 as an entertainment venue for North London, this Victorian building is probably most famous  as the home of the television service operated by the BBC in it's early years.

Today, Saturday and Sunday, the Great Hall is home to the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show. The show features over 50 retailers in paper craft, rubber stamping and lots, lots more. In crafting terms Christmas is just around the corner and there are lots of new products on show.

We were there earlier today and caught up with some of our favourite suppliers including PaperArtsy with their wonderful range of paints all of which we have in stock and use ourselves. We have returned exhausted but excited and full of inspiration. We were bowled over by the positive  response to our craft workshops that we held during the Wanstead Fringe and we are keen to do more. So keep checking here for our new craft workshop coming soon.

A GREAT TWO DAYS...

We have had a fabulous two days. This weekend was the start of The Wanstead Fringe and The Wanstead Art Trail, we have been holding workshops and demo's all day on both days. There have been some great craft projects, cards, painting, rubber stamping and as you can see above the ever popular tags. On Sunday we had jewellery maker Sarie Miel with us and you can see two of the sets of earrings that she made while she was demonstrating her craft. We have had students on workshops, visitors popping in for a look, it's been fun. Next weekend we are having another two days of craft demo's, if you are interested in crafts or just curious come in and say hello and see some craftwork in action.
