Heat Embossing, How Too...

1pm to 3.30pm

In the first of our Heat Embossing How Too’s, learn the basics of heat embossing to create beautiful effects in all types of crafting. Embossing can be used on a variety of crafts and will greatly increase the scope of your skills.

This is an ideal workshop if you have never embossed before or you have not embossed for a long while and want to refresh your skills.

You will learn a variety of techniques and also take away samples that you can refer to when crafting at home.

Price per person is £15

Maximum of 8 people

BEACHED!

We have had a fabulous afternoon here at Craft Boutique 84 in Wanstead. Local artist Wendy D'Souza Daniels held  a workshop and the results were fantastic. As you can see by the picture above the theme was beach huts and everyone produced a stunning piece of work. My particular favourite is the one above made by Liz, she's giving it to her mum for Mothers Day. What a great idea and perfect present as it's a reproduction of the real one her mum has.

You can see from the pictures below how everyone used  both stamps and paints, you can see the individual colour palettes in the photographs that people used to work out their colours We used the wonderful PaperArtsy paints and stamps and Spectrum Noir pencils and Professional markers. It was a really fun, productive afternoon with lots of laughter, tea and cake and someone who shall remain nameless had as much paint on her as her work.

Don't worry if you wern't able to make this workshop there are plenty more coming up and we be posting them on the website as soon as the dates are fixed. We look forward to seeing you then...happy crafting

Had fun playing around with WOW embossing powders, Sheena Douglas Stamps and Dies this afternoon and produced this fab tag.

Really simple to do, we are so pleased how it turned out. So many different things you can achieve with these great embossing powders.

OH I DO LIKE TO..

..... be beside the seaside, you can enjoy a little bit of the beach in Wanstead this Sunday. Local artist Wendy D'Souza Daniels will be showing you how to create this lovely beach hut scene at our Gallery in Nightingale Lane, Wanstead. You don't need any experience Wendy will be showing you in easy steps how create this lovely image. As you can see in the picture above we have added  a lovely simple wooden frame around the artwork. This is available separately from the Gallery, this makes it just right for hanging in the home. We think this would be lovely in the bathroom.

Wendy will be using PaperArtsy acrylic paints and stamps, Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers and colouring pencils. There will of course be the usual tea, cake and chat.

SKILLS DAY...

Create a stunning image...

with local Wanstead artist Wendy D'Souza Daniels.

Wendy will be running a Skills Day on Sunday the 8th of March 2015 1pm till 3.30pm at 'eightyfour' here in the heart of the original Wanstead village.

You will create a stunning image using PaperArtsy acrylic paints and stamps, Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers and colouring pencils. There will of course be the usual tea, cake and chat, we look forward to seeing you on the day.
